Bridgestone Turanza T001
Community discussions around the Bridgestone Turanza T001 largely center on replacement decisions, tire longevity, and tread aging. Users note that the tire provides a good balance of comfort, durability, and low road noise compared to sportier alternatives, though owners frequently question surface cracking after four years of use.
“Bridgestone turanza t001 do I need to replace them with these small cracks ? It’s 4 year old since production and is it dangerous to travel alot with these small cracks?”
“Bridgestone turanza T001 and it’s 4 year old so do I need to change it or just wait for another year the cracks don’t seem to be deep to me so I need an expert on that it drives like it does normally doesn’t leak any air and the grip is fine”
“If you can, stick to the same tyre all around as mentioned, don’t mix brands or models. So if you're keeping the Turanza T001s up front, rather just get the same ones for the rear. The S001 is more performance-focused, but the T001 offers a better balance of comfort and durability. It’s quieter, rides smoother, and tends to last longer. That said, if you’re thinking about moving to something sportier, skip the S001 and go straight to the Potenza Sport. It’s a newer and more advanced tyre, still within the Bridgestone family, and a solid upgrade in terms of grip and responsiveness.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
