“I finally found a matching set of the original size Spyder tires at CARID.com . 185/55R 15 front and 215/45R 16 rear. They are Accelera PHI-R tires. The only difference from the original Bridgestone Potenzas is that they are Z speed rated. They are pretty reasonable and ship for free.”

“Accelera tires review Hi everyone! Figured I’d add some 2cents about my experience with a few different Accelera tires. I first ran a square set of 400tw UHP Accelera PHI-R which I bought new for 300 from tirestreets. These are very good tires for street use, comfortable, quiet, and are 100% fine for even some spirited driving. Did 2 autocross events on this set and they held up great aswell. Great burners/ daily drivers I’m now running 351 sport GD which are a 300tw summer tire, I paid less than 400 for the set. They’re surprisingly quiet and comfortable for daily use and have a great amount of usable grip for hard backroad driving. Their strong point is the grip doesn’t fall off, I can run up and down the mountain multiple times and still have confident grip. Sidewall is another highlight, very stiff good steering response. Haven’t seen much info about accelera tires online hope this helps people in search of some good budget tires to have fun with! Read more”

“I'm planning on replacing the rear tyres for Accelera phi-r, these were on the car when I brought it, I had no issues at that time, And yes the front Tyres had them balanced and the wheels aligned, I will get these checked again.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
