“Vredestein quatrac 5. Gaat vaker vervellen richting einde levensduur. Als het op 1 plek is en er geen canvas zichtbaar is loopt het niet zon vaart. Aan de andere kant zijn ze aardig op (en begint uitgedroogd/ verbrand te worden) dus zou ik ze binnenkort vervangen. Zeker ni het natte najaar en daarna de winter komt.”

Vredestein Quatrac 5
Community opinion on the Vredestein Quatrac 5 is generally favorable for a budget-friendly all-season option, with many users praising their dry and wet performance, as well as decent handling in light snow. However, long-term durability and heavy winter capability receive mixed reviews, with some noting they struggle in deep snow, show wear or cracking near the end of their lifespan, and lose wet traction after accumulating higher mileage.
“Are these Quatrac5 new ? After 15k miles my rear wheels are struggling to put down traction on damp roads if I am not real gentle on gas pedal on first gear from stop go traffic.”
“A guy on YouTube vlogged his experience with the quatrac 5 in his mirage. It's a good all weather tire for the occasional blast of snow but is by no means a substitute for actual snow tires.”
“Vredestein Quatrac 5 Photo taken on October 17, 2025. This was during one of your first snowstorms in the Wasatch in Utah. This was at Guardsman’s Pass before it closed for the season, at 9717’ (2962 m). I’ve had the Quatrac 5 since Nay 20th, they’re really not great for considerable snow and I will be going to studded tires again in the near future. Last season I had the Hakkapeliitta 10 (175/65/14) and that was considerably more grippy. Read more”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
