“Michelin Primacy 4 in Snow Alright, I have some pretty fresh Primacy 4 tires that came on my 2022. I live in Minnesota and don't commute much in winter but do make some shorter trips in a metro area. What is the likelihood that I'm going to want/need different tires for winter? I thought about getting a set of Crossclimate tires and just using them year round but it seems like such a waste to not use up these nice Primacy 4 tires. It probably won't be very cost effective to un-mount and mount every year. Let me have it. Read more”

Michelin Primacy 4
Community feedback for the Michelin Primacy 4 is largely positive, highlighting its excellent balance of low road noise, high comfort, dependable wet and dry grip, and strong longevity for daily driving. While some users note concerns over rapid wear on specific heavy or EV applications, and poor snow performance due to its summer tire nature, most drivers find it a superior touring tire compared to factory options.
“I've been using primacy 4 for 5 years, great tires, dry, rain, great, but I see that my front ones are a little cracked and now my car often activate the abs when braking suddenly, the pattern is good, it has depth, they are not worn that much, but I believe that they are cracked a little because of the heat, because in the summer the temperatures are over 40 degrees Celsius, and this will be my fifth summer of using them, so I will replace them.”
Recomandarea mea e sa alegi primacy 5 fara ezitare.”
How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
