“Primacy 5 205/55 R16, harsh ride compared to continental premium contact 7. Continental absorbed bumps better, and it sounded better, it was a muffled sound in suspension, Michelin feels like matador I drove before. Also, I'm almost at 10k km done with these Michelin's and I'm already down to 5mm in front. Very disappointed, I got them instead of premium contact 7 ( that I absolutely loved ) because it should last more than continental, but they wear very fast and I got no grip at all.”

Continental PremiumContact 7
Community members widely praise the Continental PremiumContact 7 for its exceptional dry and wet grip, responsive handling, and reassuring braking performance. Criticisms and mixed reactions typically focus on higher road noise, slightly elevated rolling resistance, and varying reports regarding treadwear longevity under heavy or aggressive driving.
“Had the same dilemma, went for PremiumContact 7 in the end for my Cupra ST300 4drive. Both have great traction when wet and dry, SC7 is more for an overall aggresive driving, while PC7 are bit more comfy, for a mix of sport and city daily cruising. Both are very quiet on the highway.”
“Tried it out on 225/55R18 Very gripy, to a point steering on the spot feel more heavier steering compared than previous Tyres. Very good on dry, quick lane switch dun feel the Tyre wall lembeh. Dry brake is very good. Haven't test wet perf much yet. Noise, is abit on the noisy side but not unbearable. Comfort wise, is on the stiff side but might be a combo of my recent suspension change. FC wise, is worse than previous Tyre but not by much. Only thing I don't like it's it keeps spinning up stones on road, and I can hear spun up small stones hit undercarriage. I think is becos of Tyre thread pattern. Those who want a sporty ride, can consider this Tyre”
“In europe you can get summer touring tires which are absent from USA. There are objective reviews which will include tread life estimates (by abrasion specs and looking at initial tread depth you can figure out what will last the longest). looks like Continental PremiumContact 7 is an all around good choice unless you want max efficiency, for which the Hankook iON leads everyone.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
