Therefor I have bought summer tires which are used and were advertised as 5,5mm profile depth on each tire. I have measured each tire and am wondering which tire should be installed on which side and if front or rear would be better. Unfortunately there is no mark to show on which position they were on the previous owners car. Starting from outside moving inside I have measured the following millimetres: Tire 1: 5.51, 5.69, 5.85, 5.36 Tire 2: 5.40, 5.58, 5.71, 5.33 Tire 3: 5.59, 5.69, 5.79, 5.39 Tire 4: 5.38, 5.55, 5.73, 5.34 Seeing the numbers I would go with tire 2 and 4 on one axis und 1 and 3 on the other. O primeiro conjunto começou a escamar / sair aos bocados (principalmente à frente). A marca assumiu e colocou pneus iguais (Continental EcoContact 6 Q). Agora, ao fim de cerca de 20.000 km, está a acontecer exatamente o mesmo à frente. Para piorar, após notar perda de pressão lenta atrás, fomos verificar e os dois pneus traseiros estão completamente comidos por dentro. “When I bought my freshly imported 2014 Nissan Leaf in Sept 2020 it had 27,xxx km on the odometer and a full set of Michelin Primacy 4 that were sidewall dated from very late 2018, so likely only very low mileage on them. I put another 47,000km on them before replacing with a full set of Toyo Proxes C100 Plus in April 2024 which have also been great. The Michelin fronts were certainly very worn particularly the shoulders. I really rate Toyos so would encourage you to have a look. I’ve since put 21,000km on the Toyos and even after 12,500km, in May 2025 at their most recent WOF, the fronts still measured at 7mm and rears 8mm. P.S I paid $900 total for the 4 x Toyos inc. fitting, disposal etc.”
“Michelin Primacy 4 or Conti UC6 - Virtus GT Hey, i recently got a Virtus GT with stock Apollo alnac 4g tyres - looking to upgrade them. As per ChatGPT my options are Michelin Primacy 4 and Continental UC6 - budget is not really a problem. Overall i want good grip, handling, comfort and low cabin noise. Not going for Pilot Sport 4, because don't want to compromise on comfort for performance when i am not going to push my car too much, hence PS4 is a no no. But read it somewhere that with Primacy 4, there is a noticeable difference in mileage not sure if it means going up or down. Need recommendations on what i should get! Thanks in advance”
“Michelin Primacy 4 in Snow Alright, I have some pretty fresh Primacy 4 tires that came on my 2022. I live in Minnesota and don't commute much in winter but do make some shorter trips in a metro area. What is the likelihood that I'm going to want/need different tires for winter? I thought about getting a set of Crossclimate tires and just using them year round but it seems like such a waste to not use up these nice Primacy 4 tires. Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
