“Bridgestone Turanza 6 cracked and perished within 18 months. 9k miles and 6mm of tread and all four of my Bridgestone Turanza 6 (summer) tyres have perished and cracked. Now an advisory on my MOT. This can't be normal can it? So any way, I'm looking for recommendations.”

Wet grip starts at “Important”. Treadwear starts at “Neutral” here: road tests measured it for at most one of the two tires, so it rests on owner reviews. Move the sliders and the scores update instantly.

We haven't collected enough community discussion about this tire yet.
Community sentiment regarding the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is mixed to moderately positive, with owners often praising its competitive pricing, low rolling resistance, and dependable wet and dry grip. However, opinions diverge sharply on ride comfort and cabin noise, with some praising its quietness while others report harshness or road roar. Additionally, several drivers voice frustration over steering feedback, describing a soft or twitchy sensation, along with isolated reports of premature cracking.
“I have the same, 205/55 R16 Turanza 6 Enliten, the new ones that are supposed to be EV-ready. The noise level does feel higher than Conti UC6/7, even though it's supposed to be better. Grip and handling are good tho.”
“I have the Turanza 6, albeit 255/45/R18 (8.5 front & rear) Nothing to compare to other than the OEM 16" wheels with Continentals.”
“They're both similar tires with low rolling resistance and good longevity. There are better tires in both wet/dry conditions so you're not really doing anything wrong with either tire. I'd pick the cheaper option. I have turanza 6 tires on one of my cars. Nothing negative I could report but I've only driven them for about 4000km.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
