Best test result: #1 of 6 in 2018 EVO UUHP Tyre Test (straight aqua)
“Everybody is right. The tyre is available in both a RF and a non-RF versions - so it will simply depend on what you buy. e.g. the rears for my F31 are not RF”
Best test result: #1 of 20 in 2021 Auto Bild 16 Inch Summer Tyre Test (value)
“Advice on new tyres So my car got stolen (RIP) and I bought a 16' MB c200d with rears 245/40r18 Its time to change them and I don't know what to do. A/S are not needed because snow is very rare in central Spain. Winter temperatures range between 0-10°C and summer range from 30 to 40. As I drive 25-30000 km per year I especially value wet performance and durability (Minimum 35-40000 km). The problem is, the tyres that would fit perfectlly to me are not available in this size (GY efficient grip performance 2 -best tyres i've ever had- and Michelin Primacy 5). What i've seen is Firestone (both roadhawk 2 and roadhawk sport), continental PC7, GY assy 6, Michelin PS5, bridgestone T6, Dunlop sport TG, kormoran/tigar/Taurus summer 2, nexen sport, hancook (Ventus evo 137 and Ventus prime 4) and kumho ps72. Even though It would be nice to save some money, i'm worried about losing rear grip when wet (its my first rwd) so its not important. What would you pick? Read more”

Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2
Positive
Community opinion portrays the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 as a solid, quiet, and good-value performance tire that performs well in all weather conditions. While some drivers note it is an older design compared to newer flagship releases and point out its 'B' wet rating in certain sizes, it is generally considered capable and competitively priced. There is also frequent discussion clarifying the availability of both run-flat and non-run-flat variants across different dimensions.
Community opinion on the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is largely positive, with users frequently praising its exceptional wet performance, high durability, and overall comfort. Some users note that its soft sidewalls can make it feel less sharp during spirited cornering, but it remains a top choice for efficiency, braking, and longevity.

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
