“Anyone running General RT45? Looking to replace the shitastic Toyo A36 on my 2023 PP that I just picked up. Was going to try to make them last until fall, but having picked a screw in one, im probably going to bite the bullet and change them now. I ran the RT43 on both my NA Miata as well as my 5-GT and was happy with them. Tire Rack is running a $140 rebate on a set of 4 right now. Just curious as to people's thoughts. Or, should I just bite the bullet and go with Continental Cross Contacts? Read more”
“So far they seem to be a solid tire. Not a great tire and not a poor tire. Just solid. Steering response on them seems tight. Comfort Is okay but could be better (they seem to get more comfortable after driving them a few hundred miles). They seem to do very well in the rain. Haven’t seen snow yet but I’m confident they’ll do more than fine. Made in the USA. For the price I got them for they are excellent ($134 per tire plus free install through Sam’s Club). Sam’s Club still has the best prices for them but not that cheap anymore. I’m overall happy with them but if I had to pay a higher amount for them I probably would have gone with another brand. I have had the RT43’s in the past but don’t remember much about them besides thinking they were overall good tires.”
