“I did over 10k km on the stock tires, the moment i switched to Michelin road 6 the bike behaved so much better. Especially in the corners. Only downside is that the tire itself doesn't look good imo.”

Tire B

Michelin Road 6

Positive

The Michelin Road 6 is widely praised by the community as an exceptional all-around sport-touring tire, offering outstanding wet weather grip, high confidence, and impressive longevity for street riding and commuting. While a minority of users report issues like premature wear, cupping, or a narrower profile aesthetic compared to hypersport options, most riders find them more than capable for twisties, daily commuting, and even novice track days.

“Pareri sulle Michelin Road 6? Read more”

“I had Road 6 on mine, but the front had developed a step and apparently when they get low then do become very puncture prone. Not as good when carrying a load either as the side walls aren't as strong. Always happy with them but they came with the bike. Swapped to Bridgestone A41 as I needed a fresh set for doing the NC500 fully loaded with a pillion. To me, they feel fantastic and in the wet the confidence is extremely high with them.”

“Having used both. Road 6 heats up better and is ready to use faster. Power 6 heats up slowly and needs to be ridden hard with to keep it hot. They both stick well. Road 6 can feel squirmy but IMO that's due to the carcass flex from all the grooving. I've had a road 6 working itself sideways at lean until I apply a little throttle and it feels like it then locks into the road. The power 6 is harder to use to it's full potential on the street. If the power 6 had a slightly harder center compound then it would be a lot better. Edit months later and i've switched to T33's and I can say that I will never run road 6 again.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
