Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport
Community sentiment for the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is mixed, with users praising its dry and wet performance as well as smooth highway ride on select fitments. However, common complaints focus on excessive highway road noise and poor traction in winter or snow conditions. Additionally, some buyers question its value due to higher retail pricing compared to alternative brands.
“Trav- someone I know has these and likes them, good experience so far. When I look on TR, DT it does not show the 235-55-20 as an option. Maybe just current supply issues? I tried the Toyo website directly and it doesn't list them as being an option either. The Celsius Sport, yes, but not the Celsius CUV? The Walmart link doesn't have a purchase option for me just "show nearby availability" but none show. Your thoughts on the Celsius "Sport" if he was looking at that? My experience was with Continental CrossContact LX Sport and Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS. They were both good dry and wet, wore out fast, total safety hazards in the snow, like plastic sled or saucer on a snowy hill bad. For me if winter/snow is a possibility and need reliable traction, anything tire that says sport is not.”
“BIMMERPOST / Classifieds Asking Price: None Item Interest I have a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport RFT from my 2008 X5 with 13K miles on them. This set up is 20" Staggered (315/35 in the rear and 275/40 in the front). I have shifted to Conti DWS, because of the ride quality and not having the ability to drive in the snow. They are for sale as set for $100.00 or $30.00 an individual tire. Prefer local pick up in Norfolk, VA but will ship to you at your expense. Full disclosure I had the right rear plugged 10K miles ago with no problems. Would rather sell to a fellow X5 owner instead of selling them to the used tire guy.”
“I ended up buying one of these BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/P SPORT 225 60 R18 100V - b/b/71 dB - Summer Tire : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive They had two instore and now have one left. I was a bit dubious as they're not a tyre supplier but a trading company who seem to sell everything. But I gave them a ring and they were helpful= based in B'ham. They even sent a runner to nip down to their store to read off the DOT on the tyre (it was 2018) for me. Anyway I ordered it and it seems really fine. Lables on, brand new, etc. I've put it on as a spare in the boot, but I'd be happy using it. Before that, I thought I'd got a better deal on Amazon as they were offering Dueller HPs from their EU store. It was annoying to have one delivered and to find when delivered it was an Alenza Bridgetone, so I had all the hassle of returning it and refunding. 6 weeks later they had the gall to say i hadn't returned it, but I had kept the Hermes drop-off receipt, and they were very apologetic. Just make sure you double check it is a Dueller HP Sport you're getting from Germany and not a modern equivalent. Bridgetone Europe told me that the Dueller HP, in my size, was discontinued and they couldn't source one.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
