“I did over 10k km on the stock tires, the moment i switched to Michelin road 6 the bike behaved so much better. Especially in the corners. Only downside is that the tire itself doesn't look good imo.”

Riders widely praise the Michelin Road 6 for its exceptional wet-weather grip, versatility, and confidence-inspiring handling across daily commuting and sport touring. While most users report outstanding mileage, some aggressive riders note premature wear or cupping, alongside a premium price tag. Occasional criticisms also highlight limited edge grip compared to dedicated hypersport tires and rare reports of punctures or blowouts.
“Michelin Road 6 Short Life Put a set of Michelin Road 6 tires on my '25 MT-09 SP after reading rave reviews. They handle well enough, and have enough traction to put down the power, but at only 2,156 miles the rear is about shot (the front is perfectly fine though). The wear looks pretty even/normal, just premature. I ride fairly aggressively, but I never do burnouts and rarely do power wheelies. I got about 2,000 miles out of the factory S23's before it started showing belt. I ride the same as I did with those tires but I was expecting to get way more life out of the Road 6's. I ride the twisties quite a bit, and have pretty small chicken strips. I go for long rides a lot, and am beginning to wonder if the roads here are made of sandpaper. Even on my DR650 with Shinko 705's I only get like 1,500 miles of pretty tame riding. Anybody else have a similar experience?”
“I have them. They’re very good. You’ll have to break them in for about 100 miles before getting on it because like most tires they’re slick when new but these are even more slick because their compound is harder for longer road life. So far I’m happy with them. They’re on a 636. A few years ago they had some issues with delaminating but I don’t see that issue being posted anymore. I would purchase again because I’m not tracking my bike. There are better options if you’re tracking like the power 6’s. I chose them because I commute with my bike and my perelli diablo rosso 4 (which I do love) lasted 4000 miles because their compound is much softer. Hoping to get 10k miles with the road 6’s.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
