“Leased vehicle with Continental EcoContact 6 MO tires.. claiming warranty Hey all, Need some advice.. I leased a Mercedes back in July 2024, equipped with Continental EcoContact 6 tires and noticed a nail in my rear right tire about 2 months ago..air was barely leaking at the time so didn't bother doing anything with it at the time. Pumped air back in and the psi would drop from just over 50 to about 25 in just over 4 weeks. Going on a trip in a few weeks and thought I would just get it patched. Found out today that due to the tire being a runflat tire, I'm unable to patch it by Costco and called Mercedes up afterwards and they said they don't patch runflats,if anything they'll do a "temporary patch".. Not sure if this was a way to push a sale or it was true. The car has about 27k km on it and the last thing I want to do is buy new tires. Went on to Continentals website and found out these tires have warranty for road hazards, up to 12 months. Mercedes said I may have to replace one tire or both.. Wouldn't be surprised if they tell me on the spot that I would have to do all 4 because it's AWD. Has anyone claimed warranty with Continental before to share their experience? Any suggestions? Their website doesn't have a warranty claim section, so I've emailed them and will be calling them on Monday to confirm. Read more”

Continental EcoContact 6
Community opinion on the Continental Eco Contact 6 heavily leans toward criticism, primarily due to compromised wet-weather grip and durability issues such as premature wear or cracking/chunking. While users acknowledge their strengths in maximizing fuel efficiency and EV range, many consider the safety trade-offs in the rain unacceptable and prefer switching to alternatives like all-seasons or dedicated EV tires.
“Experience with stock Continental EcoContact 6 tyres & moving to All-Seasons? Hey everyone, We recently had a puncture after clipping a rock on the exit of a car park, which has led me down a bit of a rabbit hole researching replacement options. It seems like the stock Continental EcoContact 6s get quite a lot of mixed-to-negative feedback online, particularly when it comes to wet weather performance and durability. I was curious what everyone's real-world experience has been with them so far? Are they really as mediocre in the wet as the reviews suggest, or do they hold up fine under normal driving? We've only had our buzz a week, so out experience is limited and only driven in dry conditions. Additionally, has anyone made the switch to dedicated all-season tyres on their Buzz, such as the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 or the Michelin CrossClimate 2? I'd love to know how they affect range, cabin noise, and overall grip, especially coming from the factory eco-tyres. We live in SW England where we get a lot of rain and occasional snow in the winter. Cheers!”
“What’s your opinion about eco tires like the continental eco contact 6, Michelin energy saver, etc. My car came with the continental eco contact 6 and i found them average on the dry. But, in the wet they felt bad, and in the rain especially around here in mountainous roads, they felt bad while turning and slowing down for a corner soon after i replaced them with the crossclimate 2 and still thinking about what I’m going to do with them if i put them on again on summer or sell them and keep the cross climate on. “For efficiency I would recommend continental ecocontact 6/7. I get around 11kw/100km in the city and 14-15kw/100km on the highway. Would recommend. RWD 19 inch wheels Not very good on a rainy road tho”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
