“My experience is as follows: SC7>PS4S's>ASY6>PS5>ASY5>PS4. I've not tried the ASY6 supersports and I think it's fair to say the PS5/4 grip better than ASY5/6, but you get a lot more feel through the goodyears. Sport contact 7 by far the best overall road tyre you can drive without going for a super aggressive tyre or semi slick.”

Continental SportContact 7
Community opinion on the Continental SportContact 7 is overwhelmingly positive regarding its exceptional grip, direct steering response, and wet weather performance, often rivaling or beating the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. However, users frequently note trade-offs in tread life, reporting faster wear and lower initial tread depth compared to touring-oriented tires.
“Do these need replacing? Got my UK Mot check next week so would like to know if these need replacing before that. These are continental sport contact 7 on a hyundai i30N. Done about 10k miles the last tyres I had I done about the same before I had replacement Read more”
“Just took the factory SC7’s off my gfs puma ST, they are super grippy, they feel even stickier than the PS4S on my car but I’d say they are less predictable at the limits and I always felt like they tramlined a bit too much and they weren’t a very comfortable tyre. Fronts have just under half their tread left after 11000 miles. Swapped em out for conti all season contact 2’s as she needs to be able to go out during any conditions and she doesn’t want to have two sets.”
“Picked up an F82 M4 as my daily driver a few months back with mixed tyre set up of PS2 and Super Sports. Keen to replace them and I’ve always been a fan of the 4S but looks like TyreReviews thinks the Sport Contact 7 is the new all-round king. Has anyone got experience with them? Do they wear as well as the 4S?”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
