“17 Inch Rims + 245/65R17 A/T Trail tires Swapped the 20 inch stock rims on my GT Turbo with 17 inch rims with 245/65R17 Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tires. I think it looks better with larger diameter tires and thicker sidewall. Ride is better as well, with more sidewall. Also added custom home made mud flaps. $20 generic black stiff plastic mudflaps, with custom made Mazda logo stickers. No rubbing, lock to lock, cornering and large bumps no issue.”

Tire A

Falken WildPeak A/T Trail

Positive

Community opinion on the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail is largely positive, with owners praising its smooth on-road manners, low road noise, and capable traction in snow and light off-road conditions. Drivers consistently highlight its rugged appearance and strong treadwear, viewing it as an ideal balance between standard all-season tires and aggressive all-terrain tires. The primary drawbacks mentioned are a minor fuel economy penalty due to tire weight and isolated cosmetic concerns regarding sidewalls.

“Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tires Anyone running these set of tires? I currently have these on my 22 Crosstrek Sport and love the athletic feel of them. I’d like to get some beefier tires for my next set of tires on the VB. Read more”

“New Kicks for the Trail – Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails Installed! Just got these Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails (225/60R18) mounted on my RAV4 and I'm already itching to hit the dirt. Haven’t taken them off-road yet—only about 50 miles in—but they’re quiet, grippy, and give the RAV a tougher, trail-ready stance. Living in Colorado, I needed a tire that could handle mountain passes, dusty fire roads, and the occasional snowstorm without turning the daily drive into a chore. These seem like a solid fit so far. I’ll update once I get them dirty, but for now—loving the look and ride. Setup: 2020 RAV4 XLE AWD Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail – 225/60R18 No lift Anyone else running these? Curious how they hold up long term on trails.”

“Falken make a 'Mild' all-terrain tire in our OE sizes now called FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL . Performed really good in the snow, my daughter has been using them on her Cherokee Trailhawk for the past couple years with no complaints. A little bit less aggressive than the FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T3W's that I am using on my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. I don't know what size tires that you are sporting, but the link above is for the OE 20 inch wheels. OE 18 wheels options available also.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
