Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS
Community opinion on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus is overwhelmingly positive, with users frequently praising its superior ride comfort, reduced road noise, and enhanced wet/light snow traction compared to factory summer or stock all-season tires. Drivers note an improved daily driving experience with strong dry and wet grip, though a few express curiosity about long-term tread wear or minor high-speed noises.
“I’m looking for some informed opinions regarding tires (265/35x18) for my new 57CR wheels (18x9 1/2+38), specifically the Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS. I’m currently running Falken Azenis FK510 on OEM Type R wheels with no complaints. The car is a daily driver, and the roads in Southern AZ are mostly Third World due to the extreme heat and heavy monsoon season (neither can be understated). I’ve done the research, and I keep coming back to the ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS based on perceived tread wear, performance and value, but I hated the stock Contis that the car came with. I would appreciate all input!”
“Apex VS-5RS 17x9 on Mk. 8.5 Just had my Apex 17” wheels shoed with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus XL tires in 245/45/17 size. I’ve only driven it a few miles but the ride quality is definitely superior to the OEM wheel/tire combo on bad road surfaces. Wheel color is Anthracite. For anyone in the Westchester / Yonkers / Bronx area I highly recommend The Wheel Doctor for fitments.”
“CONTINENTAL ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus I know this community loves the 245/35r20 CONTINENTAL ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus for our Arteon… However, I’ve upgrade mine to 245/40r20… So I wanted to check with the fam here if anyone is interested and want these.. I’m in Canada Read more”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
