“Switched to Michelin CC3s for the winter Changed wheels (back to OEMs PP) and tires (Michelin Cross Climate 3s) for the winter season. Decided to change them early this time (temps just dropped below 10C) in order to see how the tires behaved vs summer PZero (it would not be fair to do this at 0C). Only a few hundreds km so I can’t tell about MPG and wear yet but I’m happy with what seems to be good grip and comfort. Noise is louder but I still manage to cope with it (anyway the real culprits here are my Steeda dual rate springs that act like noise amplifiers 😝). Will report back to the group with findings as I plan to track them soon. Read more”

Mixed

Community opinion on the Michelin CrossClimate 3 (and its Sport variant) is generally favorable regarding comfort, snow performance, and longevity, though some users note compromises in wet and dry braking compared to competitors like the Pirelli Cinturato SF3. Additionally, there is significant discussion and frustration among North American consumers regarding the tire's current unavailability in the US market.

“I have the CC3 sport. They were awesome in the winter. Apparently the sport makes a difference in the summer. Only downside is the amount of spray on the rear and sides after driving in the wet... I have to wash it more often”

“I have no idea about Nokian, but as someone that was agains all seasons for so long, I highly recommend the CrossClimate 3 Sports. Got them fitted since October last year on a BMW G26 and they’ve been amazing through everything: rain, snow, dry, cold and warm weather. They are very comfortable, but not too far away in feel from my previous Pilot Sports 4 and on a daily driver you wouldn’t think you are driving on AllSeasons if you didn’t know it before.”

“Tyre Reviews: I Tested Michelin's Entire Tire Range — CrossClimate 3 to Cup 2 R video link: Not particularly surprising results, the cc3 was the worst in the dry & the 2R best, similar for rain, similar for driving feel, vice versa for snow (probably, they only took the primacy), I just think more people should be aware of tyre options + the CC3 sport is a very cool offering Unfortunately, we don't get it in the states. Michelin's statement on that is they couldn't meat the wear characteristics/timelines people expect in the states while making a better tyre than the outgoing american CC2 Though, people in europe have reported that within ~15k mi it wears down to past what is recommended nationally for snow tyres in a few regions so they might have been onto something Bit annoying he couldn't test the PSS5, the PS4S replacement (awful naming), but last I looked at them the sizing started at something stupid like 20" in the states anyways there has been quite a bit of gain in cheater-ish track compounds over the yrs but doesn't feel like theres been much improvement in the standard consumer space tbh, ps4s released in 2016 & the original CC in 2015”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
