“Random blow out. 6mo old PS4's. Replace 1 or 2 tires? Just had this tire give up the ghost on me today. Got her in a spare right now. All tires at about 5 on tread depth. 6 months old, but i live in a hellscape. Should I get both front tires replaced? Read more”

Community opinion on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (and PS4S) is overwhelmingly positive, with users frequently praising the massive grip, excellent steering feel, and dramatic improvements in ride quality compared to OEM run-flats. While some note that they wear out relatively quickly and can be noisy on highways or sensitive to cold temperatures (below 40°F), they are widely considered a top-tier performance tire for both daily driving and spirited use.
“Those are Pilot sport 4 (all season). If it had s after the 4 it would be the summer high performance version. I put the pilot sport 4 on wife's GTI autobahn 2016. Great handling tire, stiff side walls, not the smoothest ride but best overall.”
“Punctured tire after fresh 4-Michelin PS4 tire change what to do? In December, I bought a fresh set of 4 tires Michelin PS4, manufactured in 2020, and the next day, one of them was punctured by a nail. I drove for a month with the nail inside before noticing and when I did, I took it to a tire shop who said it needs replacing. It was not easy for me financially to change one of them again. So I asked him to “repair” it and he did so, but recommended changing it ASAP. I have been driving on that punctured tire for 8 months now, refilling it every 2 weeks. And I am starting to worry a blowout will happen as refills are needed more frequently lately. The PS4 is not available anymore where I live, all shops have the PS5, for almost the same price. I am now ready to change it. Should I change one PS4 to PS5? Or two, or all four? Read more”
“I just installed A/S PS4 from Michelin on my BRZ recently & man they are so nice. How quiet it is, is wow, night and day. They handle quite nice except when it's still cold (sub 40F) on highway, traction control triggers but it may bc I'm lowered and yet to do my alignment. I don't know compared to stock, I was on Falken prior. I am using different tire set-up then stock however. I have 245/35 at the front and 265/35 in rear. My only regret is not going up to 40 on the sidewall for more meat. This is on 18" wheels.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
