Tire A

Michelin Road 6

Positive

Community opinion on the Michelin Road 6 is overwhelmingly positive, with riders praising its exceptional wet-weather traction, confidence-inspiring grip in the twisties, and impressive longevity for commuting and touring. While a few users experienced premature wear, cupping, or noted that profile changes feel less sporty than hypersport tires like the Power 6, most agree it is the benchmark sport-touring tire for everyday street riding.

“religious Road 6 user. 400cc 4-banger bike, 80% commutes, 20% twisties. I've had the front last 18000km, rear 23000km. Thats roughly 11000/14000 freedom units. Unless you're a track junkie, these do just fine for spirited riding, and the wet weather performance is great too. Wouldn't pick any other tyres.”

“Just swapped out my S23’s with Road 6s, due to commuting more on the highways. I ride in all weather though, the Road 6s are just superior to the S22-23’s in the wet. They last longer, they’re great in corners once you warm them up. Considering you’re in a warmer climate, I’d definitely pick the 6s.”

“Road 6s dont need to "warm up" The compound is designed for road use, not track-focused, and dont need warming up. But this is India, and we get the best of the worst on most days. If you are going for imported rubber, inspect it yourself and make sure the date code is as recent as possible. Avoid any 2025 or older stock if the shop offers some "discount". These rubber compounds can go bad/brittle faster than Indian made tyres. They'll also not last as long. The Road 6s may last about 18,000 Km on the rear at best, even if you ride like a saint. The front can last longer, often as much as 2 rears. Maintaining the right pressure is key to them lasting longer while balancing grip levels. Also, when you get them fitted, best if you have the wheels balanced.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
