Riders widely praise the Michelin Road 6 for its exceptional wet-weather grip, versatility, and confidence-inspiring handling across daily commuting and sport touring. While most users report outstanding mileage, some aggressive riders note premature wear or cupping, alongside a premium price tag. Occasional criticisms also highlight limited edge grip compared to dedicated hypersport tires and rare reports of punctures or blowouts.
“Most people think they ride like they need power 6 when in reality they ride like they need a road 6. I know I used to be one of them. Jokes aside, I've seen plenty of people doing track day with road 6... They have enough grip for 99% riders, the power 6 are for really skilled people or people that need an ego boost. And you'll save money in the long run. On my old Tuono a power 6 lasted 4500km a road 6 beteween 15 and 20k km.”
“Just swapped out my S23’s with Road 6s, due to commuting more on the highways. I ride in all weather though, the Road 6s are just superior to the S22-23’s in the wet. They last longer, they’re great in corners once you warm them up. Considering you’re in a warmer climate, I’d definitely pick the 6s.”
“religious Road 6 user. 400cc 4-banger bike, 80% commutes, 20% twisties. I've had the front last 18000km, rear 23000km. Thats roughly 11000/14000 freedom units. Unless you're a track junkie, these do just fine for spirited riding, and the wet weather performance is great too. Wouldn't pick any other tyres.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
