Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS
Community opinion on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus is overwhelmingly positive, with users frequently praising its superior ride comfort, reduced road noise, and enhanced wet/light snow traction compared to factory summer or stock all-season tires. Drivers note an improved daily driving experience with strong dry and wet grip, though a few express curiosity about long-term tread wear or minor high-speed noises.
“I'm late to the game on this. My Michelin Primacy MXM OEM tires badly need replacing at 14k. I did rotate but don't drive that much, only by chance did I notice my fronts were very close to being bald. Now looking for something that will be durable and kind of jealous hearing ppl saying the only got 28k! Updated because I'm buying Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus and reading the reviews and watching the tire review channel they seem to be stellar tires. I forgot I did rotate when I had Tesla come out to fix my wifi card.”
“Continental ContiProContact vs Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus? I bought a set of OEM wheels off an 11th gen for my 10th gen. I intended on running with the tires on them now for a while, but I found a tear in the sidewall on the inside of the wheel. Upon inspection I don’t think it’s safe to use, so I may replace 2 tires for the time being if I stuck with the same tires on it now (the ContiProContacts). However - years ago I considered the DWS 06 for my old 10th gen, and the guy at the shop told me it would be a rougher ride than the ContiProContacts, so I had went with those again. My current 10th gen has them also, and they are very due for replacement. I got the wheels because I want to go from 17x7 to 18x8. My car is also lowered with Eibach Sportline springs, so I already feel more bumps than you normally would. The ContiProContacts have been pretty good to me but are the DWS 06 better? I’d love better grip and handling but if it’s an even bumper ride then I’m not sure. Also I’m not sure if these tires will handle a little differently in terms of the ride anyway because of the difference in tire size that I’m used to now vs the new wheels. Also I know people love to recommend the Michelin Pilots, but I’m on a bit more of a budget and all the ratings I’ve read suggest the DWS 06 might be a budget version of the Pilots.”
“I went with Superspeed RF05RR 19x9.5 ET33 5x114.3 CB73.1. I liked the RF05RR better than the RF06RR many others have gotten. For tires I got 275/45ZR-19 CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS XL. Yes tire selection is limited, but these had good ratings and I am happy. My reason for going to the 19s was increased sidewall. The ride is so much smoother than the OEM 21s. Much quieter than OEM as well. No plans on track days or anything like that, just daily driving, so grip was not a concern. Yes, the clearance is tight, but they fit. Balance weights have to go on the inside, but not an issue. Have not regretted going to 19s.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
