Best test result: #2 of 19 in 2022 Consumer Reports Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires (overall ranking)
“Are you talking about the all seasons or the summer tires? The summer tires are a terrible choice and you will likely go off the road at some point. Summer tires get hard as a rock in cold temps since they are not meant to be used in winter. If you're talking about the all seasons, I had Pilot Sport A/S 3+ on my 2016 S6 and they were just terrible in snow. So bad that I replaced them after only ~10k miles and put on some Conti Extreme Contact DWS, which were far superior in bad weather. If you want a true all season that can be useful in winter, I'd go with the Contis. But if you are going to be driving in bad weather regularly, get dedicated snows. All seasons are passable here and there but not confidence inspiring.”

We haven't collected enough community discussion about this tire yet.
The community generally views the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ as a high-performing all-season tire that delivers exceptional dry and wet grip, great cornering stability, and low noise compared to stock options. Most users praise them as an ideal compromise for daily drivers who want warm-weather performance without swapping to dedicated summer tires, though some users note they struggle in heavy winter snow compared to competitors like Continental.
“been driving on them for about 2 weeks! I was running pilot super sports during the summer and was very happy with them so I went with the pilot sport A/S 3+ for the winter. So far I have been pleased with the traction in wet and below freezing conditions. Haven't driven in snow yet so can't comment on that yet. They handle nearly as well as my old super sports in the corners and have significantly less road noise. Obviously they are all season tires so they won't have the most amazing performance driving experience compared to summer tires, but I think they are a good practical compromise for our cars.”
“Michelin Pilot Sports - A/S 3+ Good Enough? About time for me to replace the stock tires on my mustang. I'm trying to save some money here without sacrificing too much performance or reliability, but this is just my daily after all. I was comparing prices on the Continental DW06, Toyo Extensa HP II, and General G MAX RS, based on budget conscious recommendations for fun fastish street car tires. But then I noticed the website I was on has a sale on Michelin tires right now. I could get a set of Pilot Sport A/S 3+ for much cheaper than any of the above options. I've heard good things about Michelin but I know the PS A/S 3+ is an outdated model, and before I pull the trigger I just want to know if there's any reason I should NOT go for this older model. Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
