“I run Hakkapeliittas in the winter (UP of Michigan, 300"+ of snow per year) but I ran my KO2s last winter and they performed surprisingly well. They do struggle in ice and burnished snowpack, especially under 15F in my experience and since they have no siping they don't clear as well as snow tires. If it's KO2s vs. All Seasons I'd go with the KO2s, just know they still don't beat proper snow tires.”

Tire A

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

Mixed

Community opinions on the BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 are deeply divided. Many users praise its legendary sidewall durability, aggressive look, longevity, and decent performance in sand, dry trails, and light snow. However, a significant portion of owners report poor traction in wet conditions or hard-packed ice, balancing issues, noise over time, and a tendency to form sidewall cracks as they age.

“I’m on my second set of K02’s. They wear quickly depending on how much you drive. But I take my truck out to the desert in Phoenix all the time. I punish my tires. Not one puncture or flat. I would not be caught off roading with anything else. But if you are a concrete cowboy, I would not get them. I would probably go with the Nitto Graplers. Also the Ko2 has that sweet aggressive look. The other tires are curved in giving it a more generic look. Hope that helps. NTA also has a 70 dollar rebate on KO2 i believe.”

“Nitto RidgeGrapplers… I had them for 4 years and had tons of tread left after 40000 miles until I got a new job where my truck stayed on that dark asphalt 10 hours a day and they started cracking but I had the 10ply tires as I used to pull a 16ft trailer with mowers all the time… my tires had several small nails in them but it never once had a flat somehow. They do good in the slick stuff although I had 4wd but I only ever drove on ice one time and they did better than I thought. I currently have KO2s… honestly not a fan simply because balancing them is a nightmare for some reason”

“Those are the KO2's. I have them on my 2017 off road and i think they're great. I sell and install tires and these are the ones i choose and recommend. I live in washington and they've handled everything I've thrown at them very well. My tires drive very well in the rain and they love snow. Freeway noise is pretty low and with your windows up you shouldn't hear them at all. I sell a lot of these and no one complains. Its a guaranteed customer pleaser.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
