“I have the Maxx TT on my car for about 1000 Km which included two slalom sessions. I am very pleased with the ride quality and dry traction. It is much quieter than the OEM tires. I have not had a chance to drive in wet road yet.”

Higher is better. The Relative Score follows your weights below; category scores do not change.
Wet grip starts at “Important”. Treadwear starts at “Neutral” here: road tests measured it for at most one of the two tires, so it rests on owner reviews. Move the sliders and the scores update instantly.
Only one of the two tires has a score here, so this weight changes nothing in the head-to-head.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport is widely praised for its sharp steering response, strong dry and wet grip, and attractive pricing compared to competitors. However, community feedback frequently highlights significant drawbacks, including rapid tread wear, poor track durability, high rolling resistance, and a firm ride. While viewed favorably for enthusiastic street driving, drivers caution against heavy track use due to accelerated wear.
“Due to rain later in the week I’ve only been able to put ~50 miles on them. Other tires I’ve run are the Bridgestone S02 and S03. I preferred the S02’s over the S03. PS4’s, PS Cup’s and Hankook V12’s. And Hoosier R6 at track. So far, the New Potenza Sports are outstanding. Low road noise, fantastic dry traction, turn in and braking. No wet experience yet, and hopefully never as I don’t typically drive this car in the rain. I’m going to play around with tire pressure, so if anyone has any recommendations for 997 C2 I’d love to hear.”
“I used 2 sets of 4 Potenza Sport on my daily in 225/45r17, excellent tires I don't think it can be beaten in terms of feeling (the Sport Contact 7 seems very good too but not tested), rigid sidewalls, progressive, very very easy to drive, fast even in the wet. Yes very soft rubber not for track but on the other hand in the wet close to 0°C it's incredible, much better than mid-range 4 seasons. On the rear axle (FWD daily) I did several winters with snowy days and -5/-10°C, the following year and even worn to 100% there is only aquaplaning that it can fear (be careful I didn't say it was good on snow lol, with its continuous rubber bands it's a disaster.).”
“Darn, no 255/45R18, so I won't get to try these on the E38 for my next set of summers (it'll probably be the Kumho Ecsta Sport or Bridgestone Potenza Sport instead, but Tire Rack no longer has the Bridgestones in 255/45 even though they're still listed on the Bridgestone site). It seems like tire availability in that size is dropping way off. Conti dropped it in the ECS02 and discontinued the General G-Max RS in that size, now it's gone in the Indy 500 V2. So to run either of those tires I'd have to buy different front wheels and move to square 275s instead of the 255/275 stagger I'm running now. PS4S comes in a 255/45, but I'd have to move up to 285/40 in the rear (from 275/40) and they're rather expensive.”

Community members generally praise the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT for its quiet road manners, respectable dry and wet grip, and solid track and cold-weather road performance compared to stock competition-oriented tires. Some drivers note relatively soft sidewalls during aggressive slalom events on heavier vehicles or limited grip before coming up to temperature. Overall, drivers find it to be a capable, comfortable summer tire that balances performance and daily drivability.
“We have these tires on my 18 Grand Sport and my wife’s 17 Z51 Convertible driving in Ohio. Very pleased with these tires! Probably should be OEM for these cars. Handle very well. Doesn’t throw gravel up on the cars like stock tires. Cold weather grip is very good! Stock MPSS are scary below 50 degrees. We have had good success with Discount Tire for purchase and install.”
“In Hong Kong, if your style is aggresive, sport maxx is not enough, i am using AD08 and RE11 is not bad”
“After 3 sessions of autoslalom, I can say that the sidewall is too soft for this heavy car. I have the front tires set at 39 psi cool. I may try higher pressure next time to see if it can reduce the tire roll and maintain traction. In term of day to day driving, this is a great quiet summer tire. It performs well in wet too.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
