“We'd gotten Coopers on Wife's vehicle and were impressed, so I tried Discoverer SRX 245/65/R17 on our Honda Ridgeline truck and they were (and remain) a revelation at least in that they made a huge difference in quieting the road noise. This was 7 years ago and now 30,000+ miles later they still look as new with little noticeable tread wear. Dunno the HTP or ATP II versions but imo Coopers are/can be first-rate tires.”

Community sentiment for the Cooper Discoverer SRX is overwhelmingly positive, with drivers consistently highlighting its quiet ride, comfortable handling, and dependable all-season traction. Many users report unexpectedly competent performance in light snow and winter conditions, along with favorable pricing compared to competitors like Michelin. Tread life feedback is generally solid, though at least one owner noted shorter longevity than expected.
“I’ve had Cooper Discoverer SRX (all-season) with good experience.”
“I've been running the Discoverer SRX on my 2014 Highlander for the last few years (40,000 miles) and they are still very quiet. Better than I expected in the Winter, too. I used to run dedicated snow tires and knew that an AS tire would not be as good but was pleasantly surprised by the Winter performance.”
“I just put the Cooper SRX on my 2013 Overland, nice and quiet so far. The snow has been easy too, I don't foresee having any problems with these tires, glad I got them.”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
