“Tire recommendations Does anyone have any alt reco for a Gen 1 R1S 22inch tires? I’m nearly thru my second pair of SCORPION ZERO ALL SEASON in HL275/50R22 in 3 years. I know Rivian recommends them but beyond another reco I’m curious if performance has changed as well. Thanks!”

“At 25,000 miles tires developed "serious" vibrations this time at 47MPH and feels like it is in the front, last time it felt like the back. This was a real safety concern for handling. Not taking them in for another $200 Road Force balance, replaced all four tires today with Yokohama Geolandar X-CV - 275/45R21 110W. No problem yet, up to 55MPH but still need a road trip to see how it does up to 80MPH. I think this hot Florida weather is melting the glue holding the foam in place. The OEM tires were: Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S 275/45R21/XL 110W PNCS. I did not contact Pirelli as I don't want any of these PNCS tires on my vehicles. PNCS will be on the sidewall, indicating the use of foam inside of the tire.”

In any case, if the pressure is fine, I wouldn't stress about it & just watch the pressure, even if it starts leaking, should be simple repair at tyre shop. Yea I did remove it myself last night. It was really small piece and i dumped it without taking picture. its good to know that I shouldn’t worry much if the air pressure remains same. I hope it won’t increase in size during the course of time.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
