“Thanks Coldcase, you always come through. Im thinking of going for the General Grabber A/Tx, 1 vehicle from the link you posted is using them and even a bigger size at 285 without any issue, difference is they have the altitude package instead of Overland. Do you think ill be fine?”

Community sentiment toward the General Grabber A/TX is largely positive, with owners frequently praising its winter traction on snow and ice as well as its quiet highway ride. Buyers appreciate its availability in lighter standard load ratings and competitive pricing compared to rivals like the BFG KO2. Minor drawbacks cited include fuel economy loss with heavier LT versions and a tendency for the tread to pick up and fling gravel rocks.

If I had one complaint, I run a lot of gravel roads and rocks will stick in the tread. When I get up to highway speed the rocks come out and come out hard. I have factory rims so my tires don't stick out beyond the fenders except a tiny bit. I have a couple nice rock chips on the side of my truck from that.”
“Tire recommendations! Current 215/75R-15 GENERAL GRABBER A/TX SL I am going to need new tires and I am wondering if I should buy a different tire than what I currently have. Overall these tires have been great and drive pretty well in the snow in VT and NY. Drive NJ roads year round aswell. Any recommendations?! Much appreciate any advice!! Read more”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
