“I've had PS4's on my last three cars. Great tires , but they do wear. I've also had two sets of PS4 All Seasons and been less than impressed, overall. After the advice of a significant number of people in various forums, I purchased a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus, ultra high performance all seasons. These have exceeded all my expectations, and in the wet or dry, are so close to the standard PS4's that I was shocked. I even know of people occasionally tracking with them! Never in my life, prior to this, could I have imagined an "all season tire" ultra, or otherwise possibly being worthwhile, but I am blown away by the performance of these!”

“235s Factory Michelin Pilot Sport PS4s —> 245s Continental Extreme Contact DWS-06 Plus Just a quick first impression after changing from stock Summer tires 235/40/18 dimensions to 245/40/18 all season tires. I chose to take a chance and up the tire size/change the compound hoping to not sacrifice too much driving feel. As many are already aware, this 245 tire size is standard for the Morizo Edition*. Overall, I do not regret changing the tire size. Drive 9/10. Looks 10/10. A very small amount of steering feel was lost, but not enough to take away from the experience. If the car was a “track” setup I would stick with stickier performance tires or stock Michelins… but for a daily driver, the Continental Extreme Contact DWS-06 Plus tires in the 245/35/18 dimensions suits the GR Corolla MUCH better in my opinion. The drive is smoother just cruising (does not feel as bouncy over bumps) and tire noise is virtually non existent. The slightly larger sidewall also gives a little more peace of mind on crappy NY roads, pot holes etc. (I have had to plug the stock Michelins 4 times in the last 15 months). Will add more impressions later on if I can give more feedback. **Have not confirmed if speedo accuracy improved or got worse**”

“I’m running the Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus (say that 3 times fast!) all seasons in MA. Last year was my first winter with them, passed with flying colors and much better than the Pirelli Scorpions on my F15 with the N55 and a light tune. If you’re running summer tires you’ll either want to swap for these for year round or go with a dedicated summer / winter setup. I don’t like going that route as you know we can have mild winter weeks or months in New England and I don’t want to be forced to drive on winter tires for half of the year waiting for winter to come.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
