Best test result: #1 of 50 in 2023 ADAC Summer Tyre Test (abrasion)

“Seen a couple of Q8 e-tron owners say the Michelin e.Primacy gives a small bump in range and lower road noise compared to the OEM Continental EcoContact, but wet and winter grip can feel a bit less confidence inspiring.”

Best test result: #1 of 45 in 2019 Summer 53 Tyre Braking Shootout (dry braking)

“Those are Pilot sport 4 (all season). If it had s after the 4 it would be the summer high performance version. I put the pilot sport 4 on wife's GTI autobahn 2016. Great handling tire, stiff side walls, not the smoothest ride but best overall.”

No owner ratings of noise for e.Primacy or Pilot Sport 4. The owner half is the owners’ average (67): owners’ noise ratings barely follow the road tests, so the tests say nothing about how owners would rate it.

Tire A

Michelin e.Primacy

Mixed

Community opinion on the Michelin e.Primacy is generally favorable toward its efficiency, rolling resistance, and comfort improvements over noisy OEM tires. However, owners and prospective buyers frequently note trade-offs in wet and winter traction compared to performance or dedicated all-weather options. Overall interest remains strong among EV drivers looking to maximize range, though many are still inquiring about long-term durability and cold-weather safety.

“Got the Michelin e.Primacys today - what an improvement! 2019 owner, bought a little over 2 years and 34k miles ago. Have always had the OG Energy Savers and was never happy with their performance as far as grip. After needing my second set of tires in 2 years I wanted something new and knew these were coming because of the new Bolt. Stretched as long as I could on my previous set until I had a close call last week. These popped up at the local tire shop, and also took the chance to swap to the Cruze Eco rims. First impressions (note these are the same size as the factory Energy Savers): Smoother Ride on Rough Roads WAAAAY Less Road Noise, Especially at Higher Speeds Dry Grip is Much, Much Better (not sports car, but if the Energy Savers were 2/10s these are 7/10s) Efficiency Seems Similar (needs more testing, only have ~30 miles right now) Read more”

Merita comparat.”

“Michelin E.Primacy All Season far better than OEM continental 2023 Model Y 19 inch wheels. I was about to get rid of this because of bad NVH, comfort. But the Michelins make it far far better.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
