Best test result: #1 of 20 in 2019 Auto Bild Summer Tyre Test (dry braking)

“Reminder: Tires are the key to this car Just replaced my Michelin Pilot Sport 4 AS tires with a new set ahead of the rainy season. Lasted 36K miles. It was the best mod to the car and a fresh set reminded just how good a brand new set is. The car is glued to the road, riding wonderfully smooth and quiet. Spend the money, get the best tires for you. The tune can wait. And it will need it.”

Best test result: #1 of 8 in 2018 All Road 265/60 R18 4x4 Tyre Test (wet braking)

“I have had both the Scorpion Verde (all season plus II) and the Scorpion Zero's I find that the Pirelli's last longer than the ConitSilent's that our X came with at delivery. Have 171k miles on the X, so we've been through a few sets now.”

“Pirelli Scorpion Verde HT Circumferential Balding on Mid-outer I have 2 sets of tyres on a FWD Mitsubishi Outlander, installed 500 Kms apart. Trying to understand why the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season have this balding on the outer 4/5th band for both tyres. It could be over inflation, but the Kumho Crugen HP71 don't show same wear yet both are usually at 35 PSI. Point of note, I have a Mi Air Compressor (full) that seems to differ PSI with petrol stations (It reads 32 PSI when I pump 35 PSI at the petrol station. I usually pump more with the compressor to what it reads as 35 PSI). On tyre usage, the Pirellis have done more than 3000 Kms of gravel on the front (Kumho chip a lot on gravel when at the front). About 500 Kms was on 30 PSI before Namibians advised me to use 26 PSi front and 30 PSI rear to better handle corrugations and skidding. Read more”

“What are you getting for mileage on OEM Pirelli Tires? As the title asks, what are you getting for mileage on the oem Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires, 265/50/20? Our '20 Grand Cherokoee High Altitude 4x4 just hit 22k miles and the tires were at 2/32nds. Even wear all around, tires were rotated at 5k mile intervals and pressures checked weekly when I wash the vehicle. I replaced them last week with Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 that have a 70k mile treadwear warranty. I know OEM tires do not have a treadwear warranty, but the Scorpion Verde line has a 60-65k mile treadwear warranty, so I am surprised to have gotten only 20k miles out of them. Is that typical?”

“I'm happy with my Scorpion Verde on my Durango. They replaced the OE Goodyear Forteras. The Scorpions that replaced the Forteras have a higher load rating and a stiffer sidewall that took some getting used to. Rain traction has been very acceptable and I'm very impressed with how the resist hydroplaning (interstates around here are notorious for holding water.) My winter driving has been acceptable as well but we normally don't get more than 3 inches at a time so I'm not sure how they would do in deeper snow. The short version is that I am quite satisfied with my set and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. A friend of mine bought a set for his Highlander after hearing me talk about mine. He is satisfied as well.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
