Best test result: #1 of 9 in 2024 Tire Rack UHP All Season Tyre Test (noise (tester's mark))
“I initially ran Conti DWS 06 (not the + version, which became available in 2020) on my '18 R for a bit over 30,000 miles. Replaced those with Michelin PS AS4. Contis were quieter and a bit more comfortable than the Michelins; overall performance was similar and both played well in everyday street driving which included dry, wet and light to moderate snow in northern NJ, but I feel the Michelins had a slight edge in both traction and steering response. If I had to choose between the two, I would go for the Contis, based on price and relative performance. I now run Pirelli P-Zero AS Plus 3 on my '24 R. Different car though largely the same as my '18R. Different driving conditions now that I reside in FL from October to May and most of remainder of year in a southern NJ beach town. Majority of my driving being I-95, I-75 / US 301 / local roads and highways. The Pirelllis, now with 7,000 miles on them are quiet, comfortable, and perform well in dry and wet and what little snow I saw in NJ last holiday season. Discounting the difference in price between the three, I would pick the Pirelli over the Michelin or Continental offerings, based on personal experience and preference.”

Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3
Community sentiment toward the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 is overwhelmingly positive, with drivers frequently praising its low noise levels, smooth ride comfort, and sharp dry and wet grip. Many cross-shoppers and owners consider it a formidable competitor or superior alternative to segment benchmarks like the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Minor concerns focus on electric vehicle efficiency impacts and isolated reports of rapid treadwear.
“Thanks, I’ve viewed that in the past along with other TireRack videos. The PZero All Season Plus Elect doesn’t perform as well in the wet based in TR’s objective data as other choices, although as I recall the subjective customer reviews were generally positive. I am inclined to go with the PZero AS Plus 3 since its objective rain test results are pretty solid but would prefer not to take too big a range hit.”
“Anyone running Pirelli p zero AS plus 3 tires? Anyone running these? They perform highly on Tire Rack's testing and it looks like they could be a good bit quieter than MPAS4. Dry grip is rated almost as highly as the OEM hankook summer tires. Wet grip is far superior to the hankooks. My usual default for this class of tire is the MPAS4 or Conti DW06. But the Pirellis have my eye at the moment. Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 | 235/35R19 | Tire Rack”
“I just purchased some Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3s for my 2016 Accord. I'll run these spring to fall until I switch over my 17" winter combo. These have been excellent so far! Ride quality, noise, and grip are all vasty improved from the mis-matched combo of two OE ContiProContacts and two Vredesteins (were on the car when I purchased it in 2019). The dry grip in particular has been fun / made the vehicle more engaging to drive through some winding roads.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
