“Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT Picked up a set of Discoverer AT3 XLT from simple tire. With the 4th of July discounts all 4 were under 1k before taxes. I had the AT3 4S on a previous ram and they held up so I’m expecting good things here.”

“I figure any tire review is good, even if late. I'm nearing the end of use for Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT in LT275/70R18E 125S on OE 18x8" chrome clad wheels. They have been fantastic tires , great in the snow, quiet, never felt like they were giving up any traction except for the fourth (last) winter, but they never felt dangerous. They wore dead flat across the tread, kept the fronts at 65# and rears at 75#, rotated about every 5k miles, used Thuren alignment specs. They made 50k miles (the warranty in 2020) no problem. I have no problem getting them again or recommending them, but I like trying something different. If the different tires I chose this time don't work out (45 days), I'll just get these Coopers again.”

I don’t want to trim anything and don’t want any rub even when suspension is flexed. It seems like most info online indicates a 33” tire is the max for a 2” level and no rubbing. I believe the 275/65 R20 is a 34” tire. Thanks for the advice! I only ever rubbed with my 285/65R20s when I was reversing and turning right down an angled driveway, on the street and flat ground it never rubbed. Offroad is where I had the most rubbing but that is expected. A 275/65R20 is what a lot of people run with only a 2 inch level. It fills the wheel wells nice and it will very rarely rub in any on road circumstance, no matter how you level the truck. A 33" tire is too small in my personal opinion.”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
