“My experience is as follows: SC7>PS4S's>ASY6>PS5>ASY5>PS4. I've not tried the ASY6 supersports and I think it's fair to say the PS5/4 grip better than ASY5/6, but you get a lot more feel through the goodyears. Sport contact 7 by far the best overall road tyre you can drive without going for a super aggressive tyre or semi slick.”

Continental SportContact 7
Community opinion on the Continental SportContact 7 is overwhelmingly positive regarding its exceptional grip, steering precision, and wet-weather performance, frequently placing it at or near the top of the ultra-high-performance (UUHP) category compared to rivals like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. However, users frequently note trade-offs, specifically faster tread wear and shorter lifespan due to its softer compound, alongside some minor criticisms regarding ride firmness or noise.
“The oil and tires question (summer edition) So, I have an EU i30N with GPF (for now anyway) I’m looking for a good summer oil for daily + weekend hooning + a few track days. Ambient temps can reach ~37°C, so I’m considering 5W-30, 5W-40, or maybe 0W-40, over the stock 0W30. Since it's (momentarily) got a GPF, it can't be a full-SAPS oil. Does anyone have any specific recommendations? Next thing is the tires. It's currently on some kind of P Zeros, probably just a later set of the stock model (from the previous owner). I'm looking to put something else onto it (cause I'm fed up with cold understeer and hop), but there's too much choice for me 😅. I know that I probably don't want SC7's because they're reportedly really stiff (despite all of their other pros). The roads are kinda ass where I live and it's already on the limit of my tolerance with the PZs. Read more”
“I have the Conti SportContact 7 as summer tires on my 500hp M2 Competition. Brilliant tire, tons of grip and very direct steering, and needs much less time to get up to temp than the 4S the car came on when I got it. I can't speak for the 5 but it's definitely a stiffer tire compound than the SC7 so it will last longer but will take more time to get up to temp and also less grippy.”
“Both are great. I have the SC7 and had the PC6. There is literally no difference of what I feel on public roads.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
