“I bought a set of 20” M-wheels when I my X5 was at around 2k miles. I had fitted Pirelli scorpion zero runflats on it. At 65k miles, they had to be replaced due to compound cracking, thread was still at 5 to 6/32. I think they served me well.”

Higher is better. The Relative Score follows your weights below; category scores do not change.
Wet grip starts at “Important”. Treadwear starts at “Neutral” here: road tests measured it for at most one of the two tires, so it rests on owner reviews. Move the sliders and the scores update instantly.
Only one of the two tires has a score here, so this weight changes nothing in the head-to-head.

We haven't collected enough community discussion about this tire yet.
Community sentiment regarding the Pirelli Scorpion Zero is mixed, with strong praise for its quiet ride, smooth comfort, and reliable wet and dry traction, especially on newer AS Plus 3 models. However, numerous owners express severe frustration over fast treadwear, with many reporting tires wearing out or balding well under 30,000 miles, alongside complaints regarding unhonored treadwear warranties and issues with the internal PNCS noise-canceling foam.

You might only get 30K out of them on a heavy performance SUV but compared to more expensive options the differences seem minimal. Personally, on a truck/SUV I've never experienced a tire rated 600AA have as good performance/stickiness (combined with long treadlife) as the Verdes...”

“Pirelli Scorpion MS vs. Zero I was the unfortunate recipient of a giant screw in my tire last week and had to be towed to a local Discount Tire for a replacement. After being very specific that I wanted the exact same tire that I had (Scorpion MS), they installed the Scorpion Zero on my front right wheel and I just realized it this morning. Is there any damage in keeping this tire if it’s the exact same size? Or should I push back and request they replace it with the tire I have on the three other wheels? Not to mention I’m a little irritated because I feel like it was a sneaky upsell to get me to buy a tire that is $150 more expensive. Thoughts? Read more”

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
