“Tire rec - Michelin PS4 vs PS4S vs PSS vs PSAS4 It's time to replace my tires (PS3s were on it when I bought the car) and I'm comparing a few options. Looking through a lot of different sites to compare options and rebate options, and with the various promos going on, these tires all end up being within $150 or so of each other for a set of 4 including install. The pilot sport all-season 4 are the cheapest from costco - at $744 including install, however, I live in Los Angeles so I don't need all season tires. Is it worth it to pay an extra $100 for a set of PS4S's? thoughts on the other tires?”

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4
Community opinion on the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 is largely positive, praising its dry and wet grip, sporty handling, and ride comfort compared to stock alternatives. However, some users note trade-offs in extreme winter conditions, potential range or efficiency impacts on EVs, and faster wear on staggered setups.
“Im running pilot sport a/s4 in 265/35 r18 on 18x9.5 konig ampliform. I have been driving them about 5 months, i cant complain. They are good for where im at (only 93 octane stage 1 tune, no major mods). Side note, i feel the road imperfections alot more with such a small sidewall.”
“Crashed my Saab on the track with PSAS4. Instantly lose grip after overheating, but perfect for daily aggressive driving.”
“I ran both pilot sport 4s and pilot sport all season 4 got same amount of mileage out of them around 30k bc can’t rotate.”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
