Continental SportContact 7
Community opinion on the Continental SportContact 7 is overwhelmingly positive regarding its exceptional grip, direct steering response, and wet weather performance, often rivaling or beating the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. However, users frequently note trade-offs in tread life, reporting faster wear and lower initial tread depth compared to touring-oriented tires.
“Had the same dilemma, went for PremiumContact 7 in the end for my Cupra ST300 4drive. Both have great traction when wet and dry, SC7 is more for an overall aggresive driving, while PC7 are bit more comfy, for a mix of sport and city daily cruising. Both are very quiet on the highway.”
“Conti P/Contact 7 Tyres So just went from Michelin PS4’s to the conti premium contact 7 tyres and literally had to double the amount of weights on the alloy to get it to balance. On the outer edge I needed almost 60g. This is pretty much the same for both sides at the front. The alloys are not buckled. No suspension issues. Driving a Skoda Octavia vrs mk3 petrol. I drove on the PS4’s tyres for 13000 miles with no issues and like I said hardly any balancing weights. Has anyone else come across this before? I’ll be honest the past 3 sets of tyres have all been Michelin. **EDIT** The tyres are Sport contact 7’s not the premium as first posted. Apologies. Looking at the rear tyres I had fitted (same brand and model) are only a few weights. Read more”
“Anyone tried the Continental Sport Contact 7 on a GT3 or similar? I'm looking to change my Cup 2 tyres. I will keep them for next summer but as I live in the UK and drive a lot in Europe I want something that is better in colder and wetter climates. I've had and liked the SC7 tyres before and whilst there isn't an N rated version they are available in the correct size, load and speed rating to match the fitted Cup 2s. Even PS4S is only available here in N rated rears and non N rated fronts. Then the remaining options are Goodyear, Pirelli and Bridgestone. It's slim pickings so on balance wanting something for colder and wetter driving it seems the SC7 is a good option despite not being N rated Anyone got experience of these tyres on a 911 and even better the GT cars? Context - street only. Spirited driving in Europe (mix of hot and cold/wet climates). I don't track the car Read more”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
