Best test result: #1 of 4 in Tire Rack Ultra High Performance All-Season Tyre Test (dry braking)

“New Tires (Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4) I know this has been discussed a lot here so I won't go into a ton of detail, but I recently got a '23 GT (DCT, around 30k miles) and the stock tires were so ASS. Decided to grab the ones in the title and it's literally night and day difference. I was getting terrible traction when just barely accelerating w/ stock tires. Now I can basically floor it. Same with braking; felt pretty damn bad before, and so much better now. The ride, in general, also just feels more comfortable (smoother, though I didn't notice a huge sound difference, but I usually have music on anyway). Haven't gotten to really push it on turns or anything yet, but it's definitely a big difference already with the small bit of driving I did after getting them installed. I did also go with 235 over the stock 225.”

Best test result: #1 of 9 in 2026 Die Reifentester All Season Tyre Test - 225/40 R18 (subj. noise)

“Conti! Got the CC2 put on my brand new C class. Was not happy at all. They were loud and caused vibrations at 80kmh and 110-120kmh which were too noticeable to accept. Drove 3500km with them. Complained, dealer replaced them to ASC2 free of charge, and the car now drives like butter.”

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4

Positive

Community feedback for the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 is overwhelmingly positive, with drivers praising its excellent balance of dry and wet grip, sporty handling, and ride quality improvements over stock tires. While some note minor drawbacks regarding cold-weather limits, efficiency hits on EVs, or faster wear compared to touring tires, it remains a top-tier recommendation for performance-oriented daily driving.

“I use these on my F80 M3 competition with the 666M wheels for the winter. I had Continental DWS 06 Plus on my E90 M3. The PSAS4 have stiffer side wall than the DWS06 Plus, so the ride will feel more sporty if that's what you're after. PSAS4 also have slightly more dry pavement grip and tad more steering feel than the DWS. The DWS is a tad bit quieter and softer sidewall. Superior to the PSAS4 in light snow. Dry pavement grip is still amazing. I have 2 sets of 666m wheels for my F80 comp. One set outfitted with Pilot sport all season 4 and the other set outfitted with Pilot sport 4s.”

“I would just do Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on your 22” wheel. This is one of the best all season tires for snow outside a true winter tire. To get better snow performance you need a winter tire and separate summer/all-season for warm weather.”

“Replaced tires with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, ride significantly improved My 2021 MYLR with 19" Gemini wheels ran over a screw in the tire sidewall and I had to replace the tire. I decided to replace all four tires since the tread was low anyway. I ended up replacing with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. I was happy to find that the ride quality significantly improved after this. Just wanted to let folks know. Others have pointed out that there's a slight range efficiency hit and the tires don't reach all the way to the Gemini rims like the stock Continentals do. I find I don't care about these things and enjoy the ride quality improvement a lot. If I put the car in Chill mode now and drive others around, it's a much better ride experience for them on residential streets. The tires were a bit expensive, $1700 to replace all four including labor (in the SF Bay, a HCOL area) but I had to replace the tires anyway and the benefits were worth it to me.”

“My first all-season tires (Continental AllSeasonContact2) Hi everyone, I finally had my all-season tires installed: Continental AllSeasonContact2 235/60 R18 103T. Compared to the factory-equipped Hankook summer tires (in Italy you don’t get all-season ones…) I have to say they’re noticeably quieter. I tested them on the roads of the Dolomites between Belluno and Bolzano, and they performed excellently in rainy/sleety conditions. Let’s hope they last at least 2 years. Read more”

“Continental tyres condition after less than a year? Hello, I got these two Continental All Season Contact 2 front tyres fitted Nov 2025 (10 months ago), manufactured in January 2025 (0325) and done about 4-5k miles in them. I started seeing some cracking late this summer on the tread as if it’s deteriorating and falling apart. This is the same on both of them where only one side of the car is actually getting much more sunshine than the other. I don’t imagine this is normal? Especially from Continental, seeing as my other two tyres are budget tyres that are way older and have done tens of thousands of miles and are not at all damaged like this. I contacted Blackcircles because there’s apparently a lifetime warranty for the tyres but they came back to me saying the tyres need to be sent for an inspection that could last 10-12 weeks and I’d need to buy two new tyres from them first. Surely they can’t have the cheek to ask me to buy more tyres when I’m already dissatisfied with their products? This is very inconvenient and renders the so called warranty virtually unusable as it’s extremely impractical. Please can I have some advice? Is this condition of the tyres normal given the circumstances? Could it be that Blackcircles (and perhaps even Continental) were supplied knock off/fake tyres? Thank you”

How do we compare tires?

Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.

Community buzz from Reddit and forums is shown for context only — it never changes the score.
