“My tires were over inflated at purchase - with rears on my 2020 GLC 300 SUV showing 41.5 PSi, and the fronts were ~ 38.5 PSI. Checked cold tire pressure around sunrise this morning with temperature around 50 degrees. Using a high quality tire pressure gauge checked all tires this morning - and reduced pressure in all four tires to 35 PSI. Before the ride was ok but a bit stiff. Just curious if anyone is running these 18" tires and what you feel works best for your GLC 300's. I'd like to hear your thoughts & comments re: inflation pressure. 235/60 R 18 Continental Cross Contact LX Sport Tire size Inner fuel door pressurre table”

Continental CrossContact LX Sport
Community opinion on the Continental Cross Contact LX Sport is mixed, with some drivers praising its comfort, balance of control, and low road noise. However, many owners express dissatisfaction with rapid tread wear, flaking or chunking, poor wet traction, and shallow initial tread depth. Several users consider replacing them early with options like Michelin CrossClimate or Defender models.
“I'm a fan of the Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActives, picked those over the Cross Climate 2s for my XC90 . Not a fan of the Continental CrossContact LX Sports on the wife's 2025 XC60 . Handling in wet feels like absolute garbage, but can't justify swapping them out just yet, but plan to put the WeatherActives or Cross Climate 3s, that's if they come to the States, on her ride when tread is down. Both vehicles ride on 20" rims. I'm also a fan of Vredsteins Quartrac Pro+ and the Nokian Remedy WRG5. Looks like Nokian's Encompass AW02 are in the same vein as the Cross Climate 2 design.”
“CRV-Hybrid Touring owners, how do you like your OEM tires? I'm a proud new owner of a '26 ST and I have the Continental Cross Contact LX Sport tires on my car. I'm not crazy about them. I'm wondering if I should upgrade to Michelin Defenders or something. Thoughts? The Touring comes with the Continental Cross Contact LX Sport (not to be confused with LX25) or the Michelin Primacy A/S. I sorta wish I would have pushed them to switch me to the Primacy A/S. “Gouge on sidewall It’s a continental cross contact LX sport 235/65 R18. Got them last year but hit a sharp curb the other day. Not sure if I’m seeing any cords, there’s some white streaks deep in the gouge but it all seems in tact. Just need to drive this car for 3 more days, is it safe?”

How do we compare tires?
Every category score blends two independent signals. 60% comes from professional tire tests (braking distances, lap times, noise measurements), each result compared with every other tire in the same test and newer tests counting more. 40% comes from owner reviews found online, adjusted for how generously each site rates. Both use one scale: the average tested tire gets 70, the best 100. When a tire has only one of the two, the missing half is estimated from the other and the score stays closer to average; with no road test and fewer than five owner reviews it gets no score yet.
Handling is the exception: road tests measure it inside the dry and wet scores, so its own row comes from owner ratings only and starts as less important.
